Little Knit Wrist Purse Pattern

This knit purse pattern conveniently hold cards and cash or anything small you need with you. This knit purse is about the size of an ID card. Easily personalize it with your own edging stitches and yarn.. This knitting pattern is a beginner knitting pattern. Easily converted to crochet by an intermediate crocheter.
Materials:
US Size 5 knitting needles
Worsted weight yarn (I used Red Heart)
Crochet hook size E (Optional. For the strap, could also be knit)
Cast on 23 stitches with size 5 knitting needles. Row 1: Purl
Row 2: Knit Continue in stockinette stitch (knit one row, turn, purl next) until piece measures 6 inches from cast on, ending with a purl row. Starting decrease
Row 1: Knit 2, ssk, knit to last four stitches, k2tog, knit 2.
Row 2: Knit 2, purl to last 2, knit 2. Repeat row 1 and 2 until 7 stitches, ending with row 2. Row 1: knit 2, ssk, slip one stitch from left needle to right needle, slip last stitch worked over the slipped stitch, yo, knit 2.
Row 2: knit all stitches. Cast off. Sew button 1 and 1/4 inches from the bottom (cast on edge) of the piece, onto the right (knit) side. Fold Cast on edge up 3 inches, sew sides together with button facing outside. Strap:I crocheted the strap on but the strap can also be knit in garter stitch (knitting every row). With crochet hook e-Attach yarn at right edge of knit cast on.*Single crochet 3, chain 1, turn* Repeat until strap measures 6 inches.Finish off and sew last three crochet stitches to last three knit cast on(left side). With size 5 knitting needles-Pick up 3 stitches from right edge of cast on.*knit 3, turn* Repeat until strap measures 6 inches.Cast off and sew to last three cast on stitches (Left side of cast on edge).
