Gauge: 5 patterns = 2 inches

Jacket Yoke: With color, ch 66. Row 1: (right side) - 1 sc and 1 dc in 2nd st from hook, * skip 1 st, 1 sc and 1 dc in next st *; repeat between *’s 4 times (6 patterns of 1 sc and 1 dc for left front), + 1 sc in next st (½ pattern increased), 1 sc and 1 dc in next st, mark for raglan seam pattern, 1 sc in next st, 1 sc and 1 dc in next st +; repeat between *’s twice (3 patterns for left sleeve); repeat between +’s once for 2nd raglan seam inc.; repeat between *’s 10 times (11 patterns for back); repeat between +’s once for 3rd raglan seam inc.; repeat between *’s twice; repeat between +’s once for 4th raglan seam inc.; repeat between *’s 5 times. Row 2: ch 1, turn, 1 pattern (1 sc and 1 dc) in each sc, including the sc increased at each side of the 4 raglan seam patterns (1 full pattern increased at each side of the 4 raglan seams; 41 patterns). Drop color, join white in the last st, by working off the last 2 loops of last dc with white. Row 3: With white, ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each st (82 sc). Row 4: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in front loop only of each sc, drop white. Row 5: Take up color and ch 1, turn, 1 sc and 1 dc in 2nd st, * skip 1 st, 1 pattern (1 sc and 1 dc) in next st; repeat from * until 7 patterns on front; repeat between +’s of first row once, carrying up marker for each seam; repeat between *’s 4 times; repeat between +’s once; repeat between *’s 12 times; repeat between +’s once; repeat between *’s 4 times; repeat between +’s once; repeat between *’s 6 times. Row 6: Same as 2nd row, 8 rull patterns increased (49 patterns). Row 7: With white same as the 3rd row (98 sc). Row 8: Same as 4th row. Row 9: With color, ch 1, turn, work 8 patterns; repeat between +’s of the first row once; work 6 patterns; repeat between +’s once, work 14 patterns; repeat between +’s once, work 6 patterns; repeat between +’s once, work 7 patterns. Row 10: Same as 2nd row (57 patterns). Row 11: Same as 3rd row (114 sc) Row 12: Same as 4th row. Row 13: With color, ch 1, turn, work 9 patterns, repeat between +’s once, Work 8 patterns; repeat between +’s once, Work 16 patterns; repeat between +’s once, Work 8 patterns; repeat between +’s once, Work 8 patterns. Row 14, 15 and 16: Same as 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows respectively. Break off white. Row 17: With color, ch 1, turn, work 10 patterns; repeat between +’s once, Work 10 patterns; repeat between +’s once, Work 18 patterns; repeat between +’s once, Work 10 patterns; repeat between +’s once, Work 9 patterns; Row 18: Same as 2nd row. With color only, work as for last 2 rows, increasing 1 full pattern each side of each raglan seam pattern every 2nd row 3 times, end on wrong side (97 patterns) Body: Row 1: (right side) - Work 15 patterns for front, skip next 19 patterns for sleeve, work next 29 patterns for back, skip next 19 patterns for 2nd sleeve, work last 15 patterns for other front (59 patterns). Work even for 3.5”, end on the wrong side. Join white at the end of the last row and work in a striped pattern as on yoke (omitting increases) until there are 3 white stripes. Work 2 more rows in color. Break color. Edging: Take up white and ch 1, turn, work 1 sc in each st, 3 sc in corner, 1 sc in end of each row on right front, 3 sc in corner, continue sc around foundation ch, holding neck in to desired size, 3 sc in corner, 1 sc in end of each row on the left front, slip st in first sc, ch 1, turn, 1 sc in front loop only of each sc; join with slip st in first sc. Fasten off.

Sleeves: Join color at underarm and working first row from right side, work even in pattern on 19 sleeve patterns for 3.5”, end on the wrong side. Drop color. Join white. Cuff: With white, ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first st, skip next st, * 1 sc in each of next 4 sts, skip next st; repeat from * 6 times, 1 sc in last st (30 sc). Continue working the striped pattern on these sts (having 15 patterns on color rows) until there are 3 white stripes. Fasten off. Sew sleeve seams. Sew on small buttons as illustrated. Cap With color, ch 3, slip st in first st forming a ring, work 6 sc in ring. Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st (12 sc). Rnd 3: * 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st (an inc.); Repeat from * around (18 sts). Continue in sc, increasing 1 st in every 4th st until there are 48 sts in round; then increasing in every 8th st until 80 sts. Work 1 round even, drawing white through 2 loops of the last sc, drop color. With white and working from the same side as last round, work 1 sc in each of the next 68 sts, leaving 12 sts free for the back of the neck. Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in front loop only of each of 68 sc, drop white. Take up color, ch 1, turn, work 34 patterns, as on jacket, on these 68 sts for 2 rows. Continue to work back and forth in a striped pattern as on the lower part of the jacket until there are 7 white stripes. Break white. Take up color. Ruffle: With color, ch 1, turn, work 1 pattern (1 sc and 1 dc) in 2nd st, * 1 pattern in next st, skip 1 st, 1 pattern in next st; repeat from * to end (45 patterns). Work 2 more rows of pattern even. Fasten off. Neck Band: Working from right side, join white on edge of cap at last white stripe, work 22 sc to back of neck, 1 sc in front loop only of each sc; drop white. Work 2 rows of pattern with color on these 50 sts (25 patterns). Break color. Edging: With white, work 2 rows of white stripe around the entire neck band and ruffle. Fasten off. Line the front of the cap with a narrow ribbon. Trim with ribbon as illustrated. Booties With color ch 9 for instep, turn, 1 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each remaining st of ch (8 sc) Row 2: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc. Repeat 2nd row 10 times. Continue sc, decreasing 1 st each side of each of next 2 rows (4 sc), do not turn at end of last row; continuing down side of instep work 13 sc, ch 22 for leg, work 13 sc on other side of instep. Foot: Continuing around, work 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, mark space after the last st as center front, 1 sc in each of the next 15 sts, 1 sc in each of 22 sts of ch, 1 sc in each of next 13 sts (52 sc). Work 7 more rounds sc. Continue sc, decreasing 1 st at center back and 1 st at center front in each of next 2 rounds. Fasten off. Sew sole seam. Leg: Join white at center back, working from right side, work 11 sc on foundation ch of leg, 8 sc across front of instep, 11 sc on other side of leg (30 sc). Work striped pattern back and forth as on the lower part of the jacket until there are 4 white stripes. Fasten off. Sew seam. Make a cord or draw a narrow ribbon through the 2nd row of the first white stripe as illustrated.
